Johan Helps Raise Over $180,000 for Lance Armstrong Foundation

With the release of "We Might as Well Win," Johan is using his book for charitable purposes, namely to help Lance and his foundation.  When Johan was in Austin for his book tour, he signed and donated numerous copies to Lance and his foundation.  In early August, the LAF ran a LIVESTRONG Challenge promotion for Philadelphia participants.  Those Challenge members who raised $500 or more during that week, automatically received entry into a raffle drawing.  And the prize?  A signed copy of "We Might as Well Win" and a signed magazine by Lance Armstrong.  And Philadelphia responded to the challenge, raising $183,741.75 in one week.  Congratulations to the lucky winner!!

"Lance and I may not be winning bike races together, but we're sill very much a team and involved in each other's lives.  After last year's Discovery Channel Challenge, I'm glad that I can continue to help him and his foundation.  What Lance has done for the cancer community is very admirable and I'm honored to be a part of the fight," said Johan.

In addition to donating books, "We Might as Well Win" is being sold in the LIVESTRONG Challenge Villages (Philadelphia - Aug 23 & 24 and Austin - Oct 24 & 25), with a percentage of sales benefitting the LAF.  Johan is also expected to attend the Ride for the Roses in Austin, signing books in the Village and speaking at the top fundraiser dinner.
